Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma casts vote in Tura

SHILLONG: National president of National People’s Party (NPP) Conrad K Sangma after casting his vote in Tura for the Lok Sabha election on Thursday said that the election process in Meghalaya is being conducted in a free and fare manner.

Speaking to reporters, Sangma, also the Chief Minister of Meghalaya said, “Everyone has worked hard in this election and I have said this before that we cannot underestimate anybody during election time. Hence we have also been working hard to ensure that the party candidate wins the election.”

He also gave his good wishes to all his opposition candidates contesting against the NPP candidate from Tura Agatha Sangma.

“We wish everyone the best of luck and now we will have to wait for the result which will be announced on May 23,” he said.

When asked on the present prospect of the NPP candidate from Tura to win the Lok Sabha election, he said, “I have just casted my vote and I have been taking general reports from everywhere and in general the vibe I’m getting is very positive and we are also getting good reviews from all over the constituency.”
