ITANAGAR: A group of women officers from Papum Pare district headquarter, Yupia office on Tuesday donated a desktop computer, a computer table and chairs to the Government Upper Primary School at Yupia.

Elated Head Mistress Obi Zirdo Rumi thanked the lady officers for their contributions and said that this will encourage her and her entire team to work more diligently in providing better education to the students.

She also stated that earlier due to the non-availability of computer systems in the school, they were facing lots of problems in getting their things done on time and they had to manage such work with their own means.

The idea to donating the computer system took shape after a woman officer from Yupia visited the school; and while conversing with the Head Mistress she came to know that the school is running without a computer system.

Earlier, Yupia ADC and DMO also contributed from their end in support of the cause.

As per report of headmistress, there are more than 160 students in the school. Due to the good academic performances of the students, most of the parents from the nearby villages have sent their children to get enrolled in this government school.
