Congress fields Augustar Jyrwa from Jaiaw in Shillong

SHILLONG: The Block Congress Committee of Shillong North and Shillong West constituency in a joint meeting held on November 30, last month has unanimously decided that the party will field Augustar Jyrwa as its candidate to contest the MDC election 2019 from Jaiaw KHADC constituency. It may be mentioned that Augustar Jyrwa is a former member and general secretary of Khasi Student Union (KSU) central body and nephew of Late SM Jyrwa, Ex- MDc from Jaiaw constituency.

The joint meeting was held at the residence of Jyrwa at Jaiaw Langsning, Shillong in the presence of MLA of West Shillong constituency Mohendro Rapsang and President and Secretary of the Block Congress Committee of Shillong North and West.
