Coronavirus patient succumbs to infection in Shillong Civil hospital

SHILLONG: A COVID-19 patient passed away at the Shillong Civil hospital on Friday night, informed Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War. The patient has been identified as Ram Bashan Rai (58) from Jhalupara.

"He was admitted at the hospital on August 11, after being referred from the Woodland Hospital. He passed away at 10.45 pm on August 21. The cause of death is due to acute respiratory syndrome due to COVID-19," said Dr Warr.
