CRPF jawans celebrate Raksha Bandhan, Shillong

SHILLONG: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at North East Sector, Central Reserve Police Force (NES HQ, CRPF ) Shillong on Sunday.

The festival was also attended by IGP NES, Prakash D. IPS, DIs G Sham Chand, S SGohar, other officers and men have participated. Three sisters from Brahma Kumaris have tied the Rakhis to all the officers and men. The IGP NES has said that the Rakhi is a festival of sister’s love and affection for her brother.

On this festival sisters tie rakhi on the wrists of their brothers. The IGP NES expressed thank on behalf of all the Officers and men of NES to the Sisters from Brahma Kumaris. Since we are far away from our sisters and the sisters from Brahma Kumaris have tied the Raki to the Officers and Jawans, they feel happy. The sisters have stated about the importance of Raksha Bandhan. The IGP NES has presented the mementos to the sisters on behalf of Officers and Men.
