DC Office of East Khasi Hills district to organize Mega Camps in Mawlai, Mylliem LACs

SHILLONG: The office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District will organize Mega Camps in the polling stations of 15-Mawlai and 20-Mylliem Assembly Constituencies on the January 7 and January 8.

The camps will be carrying out COVID-19 vaccination for people of 15 years and above, registration of unorganised workers for eSHRAM, Aadhaar enrolment and Aadhaar seeding for Ration Card Holders.

With regard to COVID-19 vaccination, which is being carried out on election mode (in all the polling stations) in these two Assembly Constituencies, people have been advised to avail of the opportunity of getting vaccinated at the nearest polling station, more so in the light of the rising cases of Omicron variant which has been designated as a variant of concern by the World Health Organization (WHO).
