District Disaster Management Authority Informed Thunderstorm and Lightning Likely To Occur In Meghalaya

Shillong: The Additional Deputy Commissioner & CEO District Disaster Management Authority, East Khasi Hills district, Shillong has informed that thunderstorm with squall and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in Meghalaya from April 7 to 9.

People have been instructed to take care of objects like lumber piles, loose tin sheets, loose bricks, garbage cans, sign boards, etc., which might be blown away in strong wind. The circular also advised people to switch off all electrical appliances if the lightning persists, stated a press release.
