District Planning and Development Council meet held on East Garo Hills

SHILLONG: A meeting of the East Garo Hills District Planning and Development Council (DPDC) was held to approve the draft annual plans of the various development departments for 2020 – 2021 at the Williamnagar Circuit House on Friday. It was presided over by the DPDC Chairman Marcuise N Marak, who is also the Williamnagar MLA.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Tembe highlighted the 'Key Performance Index' (KPI) for 'East Garo Hills Vision-2025' and apprised the DPDC Chairman, on the need for a proper waste disposal facility for meat and fish markets in and around Williamnagar.

Rongjeng MLA Jim M Sangma was also present during the meeting.
