Doorstep delivery to retailers in Meghalaya: DC of East Khasi Hills

SHILLONG: The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District, in an order issued on May 27 has informed that in order to enable the transportation of essential commodities, identified wholesale traders are permitted to conduct doorstep delivery to identified retailers in various localities on May 29 and on May 30 from 11 am to 4 pm and only for loading of essential goods to be delivered to identified retailers.

As per the order of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills district, lifting will be regulated by Executive Magistrates stationed on site.

The order also stated that there shall be no retail sale from the wholesale traders and any contravention to the order shall cause the shops to be closed.

As per the order, all directives and SOP of the Government in the Health and Family Welfare Department for social distancing, no spitting and respiratory etiquette are to be strictly complied with.
