Dorbar Hima held after 18 years

SHILLONG: After almost 18 years, the Hima Mylliem on Friday held its first Dorbar Hima at the Polo Ground, Shillong with hundreds of people belonging to the Hima attending the Dorbar.

The Dorbar Hima today under the leadership of Acting Syiem of Hima Mylliem Ainam Manik Syiem has decided that the Dorbar should be held once every two years.

"The Hima will also approach the district council to discuss on the issue of border dispute between the Hima and Assam and the urgent need to rectify this problem," Ainam Manik Syiem said while delivering a speech at the Hima Dorbar.

The Dorbar was also attended by MLAs, MDCs from different constituencies that also included the presence of Myntris of Hima Mylliem besides others.
