Former DGP BK Dey Sawian inducted into board of IIM Shillong

SHILLONG: Former Meghalaya DGP BK Dey Sawian has been inducted as a Member into Board of Governors (BOG) of IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Shillong.

An IPS officer of the 1984 batch (Assam-Meghalaya cadre), Sawian earlier served in various capacities. Among other designations, he was Secretary (Security) in the Union Cabinet Secretariat for two years.

He also held the post of Inspector-General of BSF for the Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland Frontier and Director of the BSF Academy at Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh. IIM Shillong fraternity has welcomed the move.
