Ganja seized at Mawlai near Shillong, 3 arrested

SHILLONG, July 29: The police from the Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) on Saturday arrested three persons hailing from West Bengal from a night super bus near Banalari World Cars showroom at Mawlai for possession of ganja.

The three accused, who have been arrested, have been identified as Md Arshad Aslam (25), Md Nazim Abdul (28) and Mudassar (21). Police said that the ANTF team had laid a trap after they got the information that the ganja consignment meant for Dimapur was being transported through a night super. Police said that during the raid, the team seized 43 kg of ganja from the bags of the three accused.
