A Reporter

SHILLONG: The Hills State Peoples Democratic Party (HSPDP) is still awaiting the records concerning the expenditure incurred by the party in the last State Assembly election which is still in the hands of the former party chief Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit. Speaking to the reporter in the city on Thursday, chief organizer of HSPDP Samlin Malngiang said, “We should have submitted the expenditure to the Election Commission of India earlier; however because the party president (Ardent) had resigned from his position, we had some difficulty in submitting the expenditure. Hence we have sought time from the commission.” He informed that the party has sent a couple letters to the former party president concerning this matter and two weeks back the party has again sent a reminder to Basaiawmoit to hand over the expenditure records to the party.
