IAF chief RK Singh Bhadauria visited Eastern Air Command (EAC) at Shillong

SHILLONG: IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RK Singh Bhadauria accompanied by his wife Asha Bhadauria visited the headquarters of Eastern Air Command (EAC) at Shillong from March 4-5 for the Annual Commanders’ Conference. They were received by Air Marshal RD Mathur, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, EAC and Shipra Mathur, president AFWWA (regional)

In his address, Bhadauria congratulated the Eastern Air Command for the completion of 60 years of glorious service to the nation. During the conference, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) highlighted the operational importance of the EAC and emphasized the need to concentrate on operational training and operational readiness tailored towards a quick and effective response to a rapidly changing threat scenario.

The CAS awarded trophies to the Commanders for achieving excellence in the fields of operations, maintenance, and administration. Air Force Station, Tezpur was awarded the trophy of “Best Flying Station - Pride of EAC” and Air Force Station, Laitkor Peak, was declared the “Best Non-Flying Station”.

Asha Bhadauria, president of AFWWA reviewed various welfare activities undertaken for the welfare of Sanginis and their families in the Eastern Air Command. Asha Bhadauria also interacted with the Sanginis and wives of Defence Service Corps personnel during a specially organized meeting.
