Illicit liquor seized in Shillong

Shillong: In its drive against illicit liquor, the Excise Department, East Khasi Hills, conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in and around the city. In the month of December, 2018, the excise staff registered 24 cases of illicit liquor and seized 149.600 litres of I/D liquor and 62.170 litres of IMFL. In this connection, 20 persons have been arrested under the Excise Act.
