Inspection of civil areas under Shillong Cantonment Board

SHILLONG, July 31: The local MLA of South Shillong constituency, Sanbor Shullai conducted a joint inspection with members of the Shillong Cantonment Area Development Committee on July 30 within the civil areas under Shillong Cantonment Board.

The inspection was also attended by the official and (CEO) Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Cantonment Board D Kyndiah.

During the joint inspection, various grievances of the Shillong Cantonment Area, including drainage, footpath, public toilet beside others were inspected.

Speaking to reporters, after the inspection, Shullai said, “The main objective of this inspection was to identify the areas within the cantonment which needs to be repaired like drainage system, footpath beside other.”

He informed that other developmental activities will be taken up by him on behalf of the state government and Shillong Cantonment Board on behalf of the defence authority.

Shullai informed that a proposal will soon be sent to the Central Government on the various grievances faced by the residents of the area.
