Khasi Student Union (KSU) gives away Maitshaphrang Award

SHILLONG: The Khasi Student Union (KSU) Sohiong Circle organized the 11th edition of the Maitshaphrang Award on November 22, with an objective to encourage the students of the region to work hard and excel in their academics.

The Union also facilitated the students residing at Sohiong who had excelled in various exams in the year 2018. The local MLA and Minister of PHE government of Meghalaya Samlin Malngiang graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Readyon S.Nongrum Education Secretary KSU central body was the Guest of Honour. Other who attended the award function also included Pynshaiborlang Rani Asst.Education Secretary KSU, Raymond Kharjana member KSU CB,I/C Sohiong Police Outpost, headmen, Sordar, Lyngdoh etc.. Some of the students who were facilitated by the KSU included Elgivia Kharngi, Bakordor Jana, Ibanrisuk J. Nongsiej, Balashai Kharngi, Nitmira Khongsit, Iabiangshisha Marbaniang, Ilakordor Thabah, Danolashem Kharsohnoh, Emirilda Thabah beside others.
