Land row: KHADC EM expresses ignorance

SHILLONG, March 3: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Executive Member in charge Lamphrang Blah today expressed ignorance about the handing over of land at Mawpat to some Church bodies by some Myntris of Hima Mylliem. This was informed by Blah after a motion was moved by HSPDP MDC Sohryngkham PS Syiem where Syiem read out a letter written by a Pastor of a Church, “The letter mentioned that the pastor has requested the Myntri MB Kharlukhi and Myntri L Langstieh to return the amount of Rs 6 lakhs to the church which it had earlier was handed over to the Syiem of Mylliem through Kharlukhi and Langstieh.”
