SHILLONG: Loans worth Rs 106.84 crores have been sanctioned so far under the 'Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme' to 4460 MSMEs (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) in Meghalaya in line with the Prime Minister's 'Vocal for Local' and 'Make it Global' campaigns aimed at empowering the local entrepreneurs and Indian businesses. This will benefit the MSMEs to meet their fixed expenses and continue their growth and expansion plans during the COVID-19-related lockdown and restrictions. This was stated by Meghalaya State president Ernest Mawrie here on Satrurday.

The BJP leader also said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaign is not only playing an important role in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, but is also becoming the identity of a 'New India'. He further stated that besides the implementation of 16 schemes for the welfare of MSMEs, many steps are also being taken for the poor, downtrodden workers and farmers.
