Mahatma Gandhi’s Ideals Showcased On Reels at U Soso Tham Auditorium

SHILLONG: The ideals of Mahatma Gandhi were showcased through the screening of documentary films at U Soso Tham Auditorium here on Tuesday.

The two-day film screening which will culminate tomorrow on the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi, was organized by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Meghalaya in collaboration with Synod College, Shillong. The programme saw the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of students from different schools and colleges of the city who, during the day, witnessed five documentaries screened on the first day.

The films which focused on Mahatma Gandhi’s life and philosophy aim to propagate his message of peace, cleanliness and non-violence.
