Guwahati: In yet another triumph for the St. Anthony's School in the Meghalaya capital Shillong, Mahima Sinha from the school, securing 428 marks, has topped the Arts stream in the HSSLC 12th exam conducted by the Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBOSE), the results of which were declared today.

The pass percentage for Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) HSSLC examinations 2020 (Arts) streams is 74.34%. A total of 24,864 students applied for the exam out of which 18,039 have passed.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony's students have continued their impressive run in this year's MBOSE HSSLC exams and secured the top 3 ranks. Only three out of the 10 commerce toppers this year are from schools other than St. Anthony's Higher Secondary School. Out of the 20 toppers in both Science and Commerce, 16 are from St. Anthony's Higher Secondary School.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the results will not be displayed at the MBOSE's offices in Shillong and Tura, and even in the examination centres. The results will be available on the following websites:

Owing to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the ensuing lockdown, the MBOSE HSSLC exams were affected and split into two halves. The pending three papers of Class 12 exams were held in June of 2020.

In comparison, in 2019 in the arts stream, the pass percentage was 85.13 while the total pass percentage for the Science stream was 74.58, and the commerce stream had a pass percentage of 79.84 percent. The original mark sheets for the class 12 board examinations will be issued by the board to the respective schools shortly after the results are declared.
