SHILLONG: The Meghalaya unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a solemn state-level condolence meeting on Wednesday at its state office to pay tribute to His Holiness Pope Francis. The gathering reflected deep reverence for the late Pontiff, whose life and legacy left a lasting impact on humanity across religious and cultural lines.

State BJP President Rikman G Momin and senior party legislator AL Hek led the tribute, joined by party members, leaders, and supporters who came together to honour the Pope’s commitment to peace, compassion, and service to the world. A one-minute silence was observed in his memory, offering a moment of collective prayer and reflection.
