Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday informed that all culprits involved in IED blast at Police Bazar have been arrested by state police.

Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, Sangma informed the latest development and tweeted, ''All individuals involved in the recent IED blast at Khyndailad have been arrested and further investigation is being carried out by the Police."

He also appreciated the state police for their swift action in the matter.

On last Sunday, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast occurred in Khyndailad (Police Bazar) at around 6:30 pm.

Police had said that the blast occurred near the Shillong Wine Store, which is adjacent to the Delhi Mistan Bhandar shop.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported since there were fewer people in the area, it being a Sunday.

Police also informed that remnants of the crude IED, including gelatin and wires, were found at the spot.

However, no one had claimed responsibility for the blast at that time.
