The Meghalaya CM hopes to be able to develop a community that will provide Meghalayas artisans and business owners with global visibility with the help of Facebook's reach and support. He added, "This will be a step forward in encouraging entrepreneurs of the state to drive to grow and contribute to the economy."
The very goal of the BoostYourBusiness programme of Facebook is to arm Indian businesses with adequate knowledge, skills and technology as this will help them stay innovative and connect with customers at home and abroad.
The event was attended by entrepreneurs from the state who also shared their success stories. At the occasion, five inspiring entrepreneurs were felicitated. A video on the success of Mathew Sangma, a Tura based entrepreneur was also launched who sells honey, green tea and handmade bamboo products on Facebook platform.
