SHILLONG: The National People’s Party (NPP) has unveiled its new National Committee for the 2025–2028 term. The announcement, issued under official party authority, confirms the reappointment of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma as the national president, reaffirming his leadership at the forefront of the party’s national expansion.
James P.K. Sangma has been appointed as the national working president, while Dr Mehtab A Sangma, a legislator from Meghalaya, will serve as Treasurer. The party’s commitment to inclusivity and regional balance is reflected in its selection of national vice presidents, including Agatha K. Sangma from Meghalaya, S.L. Kol from Madhya Pradesh, Vevoyi Wideo from Nagaland, and Pesi Jilen, MLA from Arunachal Pradesh.
To steer organizational operations and legal affairs, the party has named Paknga Bage from Arunachal Pradesh as National General Secretary (Organization) and Abhaya Kashyap from Delhi as National General Secretary (Law & Administration). The committee also includes a diverse and dynamic team of Executive Members such as Tapi Darang, MLA from Arunachal Pradesh, Dr M. Ampareen Lyngdoh, MLA from Meghalaya, Samuel Sumi from Nagaland, Saidul Khan from Meghalaya, Washi Yalem and Yura Mary from Arunachal Pradesh, Namgey Tsering, MLA from Arunachal, Santa Mary Shylla, MLA from Meghalaya, Grace Mary Kharpuri and Pyniaid Sing Syiem from Meghalaya, Ratika Yumnam, W. (O) Sumati Devi, Maibam Dhanabir Singh, Md. Sazad Bhuiya, and Janghemlung Panmei, MLA, from Manipur, along with Avitso Lcho and Philip Lam from Nagaland.
