SHILLONG: Meghalaya has managed to contain the spread of COVID cases if one goes by the numbers recorded till late this evening. The number stood at 44 positive cases, 24 have recovered and the others are under quarantine. Officially, the number of samples sent for COVID test are 12,513 and the negative cases are 12169 while results of 300 people are awaited. There are 15,058 returnees from all over the country since the government took the initiative to bring them back.
