SHILLONG: Two more COVID-19 patients died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 108, while 117 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 925 on Saturday. Besides, 78 new recoveries has been reported today, taking total number of recovered patients to 10,236. Till date, the State has registered 11,269 COVID-19 cases, of which 925 are active,108 deceased and 10,236 have recovered, informed Health authorities.

Both the fatalities have been reported from East Khasi Hills. They have been identified as Haricharan Das (45 years/male), a resident of Lower New Colony, Shillong; and Alphinia Umsong (five years/female) from Mawkhap in Pynursla.

Of the new 117 COVID-19 positive cases,Two more COVID-19 patients died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 108, while 117 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 925 on Saturday. Besides, 78 new recoveries has been reported today, taking total number of recovered patients to 10,236. Till date, t53 are from East Khasi Hills; 47 from West Garo Hills; eight from South Garo Hills district; five from South West Garo Hills; two from East Jaintia Hills; and one each from Ri Bhoi and West Khasi Hills districts.

Of the fresh 78 COVID-19 recovered cases, 24 are from East Khasi Hills district; 20 from East Garo Hills; 12 from West Garo Hills; nine from West Jaintia Hills; seven from Ri Bhoi; three from East Jaintia Hills; two from South West Garo Hills; and one from North Garo Hills districts.
