SHILLONG: Meghalaya, on Tuesday, recorded two more COVID-19 deaths taking the number of fatalities due to the virus to 122, informed Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War.

Both the casualties were reported from East Khasi Hills taking the number of fatalities in the district to 100.

Vanlal Faka Hmar (74) of Madanriting, Shillong, tested Covid positive on November 14 and was admitted in Woodland Hospital on the same day. He expired at around 8 pm on December 5. The second death was that of Bhawan Singh Rai (79) of Happy Valley, Shillong. He was admitted in Nazareth Hospital on November 21 and he expired at 12:15 pm on December 8.

Meanwhile, the State also recorded 98 new cases while 113 patients recovered from the virus. With this, the number of active cases is now 602 and the number of recovered cases stands at 11,686.
