SHILLONG: The Meghalaya government, on Thursday, rejected the proposal for inclusion of the unrepresented tribes in the three district councils.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma told reporters after a meeting with the CEMs (Chief Executive Members) of all the district councils that the district councils should not have more than 40 members each and the nominated members should not be more than four and out of which 50 per cent should be women.
