The Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan, led a cleaning drive in and around the premises of Raj Bhavan, Shillong, on Sunday.
SHILLONG: The Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan, led a cleaning drive in and around the premises of Raj Bhavan, Shillong, on Sunday. The cleanliness initiative was organized in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for 'Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, and Ek Saath' to mark the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti. This initiative is a run-up to the 'Swachhata Pakhwada-Swachhata Hi Seva' 2023 campaign. Dr. B. D. R Tiwari, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor, Government of Meghalaya, along with officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, took part in the cleaning drive, stated a press release.
