SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik has once again tested negative for COVID-19 on Sunday. Several staffs of the Raj Bhavan tested positive for the virus last week. According to the Governor's Secretary Pravin Bakshi, the Governor got himself tested on Sunday; and he was found to be negative.

"On three earlier occasions also since his took oath as Governor of Meghalaya, he was tested as per Health protocols and was found negative," Bakshi said, adding that all the 59 active cases of Raj Bhavan are fine and asymptomatic. The list includes officers, staff, attendants, drivers, and security personnel.

"These staff and personnel tested positive during the three rounds of testing done on September 11, 13 and 17. They would also be re-tested according to the existing testing protocols of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya," the Secretary to the Governor added.
