Meghalaya HSSLC examination from June 8-10: Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Friday announced that the mathematics, physical education, statistics and western music of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination will be conducted on June 8, 9 and 10. He said the routine will be published on Saturday.

"The results of SSLC and HSSLC examinations are likely to be declared in the last week of June or first week of July," Rymbui told reporters.

There are around 3,779 students who will sit for the examinations in 59 centres.

A source in the Education department said that there are also students from foreign countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar and Bangladesh who will sit for the remaining examinations.

On online classes that did not benefit most of the students, especially in the rural areas of the State, the Education Minister said that this initiative was taken only to engage the students, but real teaching has to take place and educational institutes have to re-open.
