SHILLONG: Meghalaya, on Sunday, registered 17 new COVID-19 cases and recorded no death.

Meanwhile, the state also recorded 8 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 82998.

The tally of active cases is 223 the health department said in a bulletin.

With the no new death recorded today the total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection stands at 1476 so far.

East Khasi Hills has 192 active cases, East Garo Hills 10, West Garo Hills 7, West Khasi Hills 5, East Jaintia Hills 4. Two active cases each in Ri-Bhoi and West Jaintia Hills and 1 case in South Garo Hills.
