All HDL LICENSEES shall operate from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM and from Monday to Saturday weekly while all IMFL 'ON' RETAIL OUTLETS which have obtained prior permission from this office shall operate from 12:00 PM to 08:00 PM daily.
Meghalaya Orders To Open IMFL 'OFF' Retail Outlets From September 23

Shillong: The Meghalaya government has given permission to open all Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) 'OFF' retail outlets for six days weekly.

In an order, from the Deputy Commissioner (Excise) of the East Khasi Hills District administration has said that all IMFL 'OFF' RETAIL OUTLETS shall operate for 6 days weekly from 09:00 AM to 06:30 PM that is from Monday to Saturday (except on Dry Days).

The order also reads that all HDL LICENSEES shall operate from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM and from Monday to Saturday weekly while all IMFL 'ON' RETAIL OUTLETS which have obtained prior permission from this office shall operate from 12:00 PM to 08:00 PM daily.

The government has also said that all bonded warehouses shall operate from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM and from Monday to Saturday weekly and all canteen shall operate from 09:00 AM to 06:30 PM and from Monday to Saturday weekly and all outstills shall operate from 09:00 AM to 06:30 PM and from Monday to Saturday weekly.

Meghalaya on Wednesday recorded four more Covid-19 deaths, 166 new infections and 172 recovered from the virus. Health authorities informed that of the four new fatalities, three were not vaccinated. Two deaths were registered in East Khasi Hills district, one in Ri-Bhoi district and one in West Khasi Hills district. With the latest figures, the State has recorded 1385 deaths. The total active cases are 1,868, and 76,730 people have so far recovered from the virus.

Of the 166 new cases, East Khasi Hills district recorded 97, West Khasi Hills district 42, West Jaintia Hills district 10, Ri-Bhoi district six, West Garo Hills district four, East Jaintia Hills district three, South West Khasi Hills two and East Garo Hills district, South West Garo Hills district one each. The district-wise break up of the active cases are - East Khasi Hills district 881, West Khasi Hills district 403, West Jaintia Hills district 270, Ri-Bhoi district 143, South West Khasi Hills district 90, West Garo Hills district 29, East Jaintia Hills district 27, East Garo Hills district 10, North Garo Hills district and South West Garo Hills district six each and South Garo Hills district three.
