Meghalaya Pradesh Election Committee selects candidate for byelection

The Meghalaya Pradesh Election Committee (MPEC) has forwarded the name of Highlander Kharmalki to the AICC (All India Congress Committee) as the party’s candidate for the forthcoming bypoll to 13-Mawryngkneng ST Assembly Constituency.

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Pradesh Election Committee (MPEC) has forwarded the name of Highlander Kharmalki to the AICC (All India Congress Committee) as the party's candidate for the forthcoming bypoll to 13-Mawryngkneng (ST Assembly Constituency.

The decision was taken at its meeting held on March 19, stated a press release.
