Meghalaya Receives 'Most Promising New Destination' Title At Travel And Tourism Fair

Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday informed that the state has been awarded the 'Most Promising New Destination' title at the Travel and Tourism Fair Hyderabad 2022.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Sangma said, ''Meghalaya was awarded the MOST PROMISING NEW DESTINATION title at the Travel and Tourism Fair Hyderabad 2022. Big congratulations to Team @meghtourism.''

Meghalaya Tourism also took to Twitter and shared the news of the same.

Meghalaya which was established on January 21, 1972, is an attractive eastern state of India and its capital is Shillong. The state is very famous for its beautiful mountain ranges, heavy rainfall, sunshine, high plateaus, breathtaking waterfalls, rivers, and grasslands.

The plateau of Meghalaya remains the center of attraction and most of the tropical forests are found in Meghalaya where one can see birds, mammals, insects, and reptiles.

Tourist spots in the state are always crowded with tourists coming from India and foreign countries.
