Meghalaya records 9 COVID deaths, 317 new cases

SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Sunday recorded nine COVID-19 deaths, 317 new cases and 382 recovered from the virus. State health authorities informed that of the latest fatalities, seven were not vaccinated.

With the latest figures, the State now has 1,278 total deaths, 3,062 active cases and 69,425 have so far recovered from the virus. Of the 317 new cases, East Khasi Hills district recorded 184, West Khasi Hills district 51, West Jaintia Hills district 33, Ri-Bhoi district 24, West Garo Hills district 12, South West Khasi Hills district six, South West Garo Hills district three and North Garo Hills district and South Garo Hills district two each.
