SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Education Commission on Wednesday submitted its much-anticipated report after extensive consultations with educators, professionals, and teachers’ associations. The comprehensive document addresses critical areas including school consolidation, higher education reform, teacher training, student performance, and structural transformation across the state’s education sector.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said, “The Meghalaya State Education Commission submitted its report today, following extensive consultations with educators, professionals, and teachers’ associations.” The commission’s findings cover critical areas such as school consolidation, higher education reform, teacher training, student performance, and structural transformation within the education sector.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the report “will serve as a vital roadmap for stakeholders and policymakers committed to driving meaningful reform and shaping the future of education in Meghalaya.” Education experts believe that implementing these recommendations could lead to significant improvements in teacher quality, institutional efficiency, and overall student achievement across the state.
