Meghalaya: State Education Mission Authority charts new strategies for education reforms

SHILLONG: With a renewed focus on strategic planning and technology-driven reforms, the State Education Mission Authority, Meghalaya, held a high-level review meeting at the State Convention Centre in Shillong, led by the Commissioner  & Secretary and the State Mission Director. Senior officials from the Education Department, Government of Meghalaya, along with District Coordinators, Block Coordinators, and Resource Persons, participated in the session aimed at accelerating educational initiatives across the state.

Strategic planning for school clustering was emphasized alongside the promotion of app-based reporting mechanisms to streamline data collection and analysis, signalling a major push towards more efficient and targeted interventions. The meeting further addressed key areas, including UDISE matters, implementation of APAAR ID, strengthening monitoring and reporting roles, identification of Out-of-School Children (OOSC), civil works development, financial management, and the rollout of initiatives under NIPUN Bharat, focusing on delivering quality, inclusive, and vocational education to every learner in Meghalaya.
