Meghalaya to host North East Food Show from December 4

Shillong: After the State debuted as the State partner for the second edition of SIAL India 2019 organized by Comexposium India and Inter Ads Exhibitions Pvt Ltd held at Pragati Maidan from September 19 to 21, the State is all set to host the North East Food Show from December 4 to 6 here.

A collaboration between the State Government of Meghalaya and the SIAL Group, the world's largest food innovation network with over 50 years of global food innovation experience, the North East Food Show 2019 is the first of its kind in northeastern India, focused on creating a global platform to inspire food business in this part of the country.

This exciting event will have the region's premier dedicated B2B platform aimed at marrying together the best of the Northeast and the best of the food and food processing world. The event will have strong presence of all the northeastern States and their governments showcasing unique products of the States as well as national and international exhibitors, natural-herbal-organic producers, processing companies and will feature "Experience Zones", the North-East Kitchen, conferences, the Chief Minister's Conclave, Chef Wars and other activities and events.

It is an opportunity for export promotion, market extension, business development and building connections to enhance the agro-business and food processing potential of the Northeast

The highlight of the event will be the Chief Minister's Conclave that will be hosted by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad K Sangma together with the Chief Ministers of the other northeastern States to deliberate on the topic "Charting of a new Course for the North East Through Food Processing and Supply Chain Management".
