SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has unveiled its strategy for the Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC and JHADC) elections, scheduled for February 21, 2025. UDP working president, Titosstarwell Chyne, announced that the party intends to contest the majority of seats in both councils. “We have already released our first list of candidates, and the second list will follow by the end of this year. The final list will be out by early January 2025,” Chyne confirmed.

However, the party may refrain from fielding candidates in one or two constituencies due to pre-existing arrangements with the Hills State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP).
