Meghalaya: Vivek Syiem Back As SP (City) For The Fourth Time

SHILLONG: A day after the Deputy Commissioners of different districts in Meghalaya were transferred, the MDA 2.0 government transferred the Superintendent of Police of different districts in the state, setting a record for one IPS officer by making him SP (City) for the fourth time.

In place of Shri Dara Aswaghosh, IPS, who was transferred, Dr. Raghavendra Kumar M.G., IPS (RR 2010), Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong, has been assigned as Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong.

In place of Dr. Raghavendra Kumar M.G., IPS, Sylvester Nongtnger, IPS (SPS 2012), Superintendent of Police, F&ES, Shillong, is transferred and placed as the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong.

In place of Shri Abraham T. Sangma, MPS, Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar, IPS (RR 2014), Superintendent of Police, South Garo Hills, Baghmara, has been promoted to Superintendent of Police, East Garo Hills, Williamnagar.

In place of Shri Ringrang T.G. Momin, MPS, Vivek Syiem, IPS (SPS 2015), Additional Inspector General of Police (L&O), Shillong is transferred and placed as the Superintendent of Police (City), Shillong.

Vivek Syiem, who was SP City, was transferred and appointed as Assistant Inspector General on January 9 of this year (law and order).

On June 20, 2020, Vivek Syiem, SP Anti-Infiltration, was transferred and assigned to Shillong as an SP (city).

In October 2017, Vivek Syiem, who was SP City Shillong, was shifted to the SP West Jaintia Hills area.

In order to fill the open position, Dara Aswaghosh, IPS (RR 2018), Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong, has been transferred and placed as the Superintendent of Police, Traffic, East Khasi Hills, Shillong.

In place of Sylvester Nongtnger, IPS, Darwin M. Sangma, MPS, Superintendent of Police, West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin, is placed as the Superintendent of Police, F&ES, Shillong.

In place of Shri Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar, IPS, who was transferred, Abraham T. Sangma, MPS, Superintendent of Police, East Garo Hills, Williamnagar, has been placed as Superintendent of Police, South Garo Hills, Baghmara.
