MePDCL announced 'One Time Settlement' scheme in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: The Chairman & Managing Director, Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) has informed that the Corporation has announced the 'One Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme-2020' for all categories of defaulting consumers, including the consumers having outstanding dues of electricity bills as on March 31, 2020, and whose power has been permanently disconnected .

According to the MePDCL, this OTS Scheme offers waiver of 100 per cent of Delayed Payment Charges (DPC) or 30 per cent of the total outstanding dues, whichever is more beneficial to the consumers. The Scheme is valid for the limited period from November 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021.

The MePDCL has urged consumers to make most of the scheme and clear their liabilities. For detailed information, they may contact their respective Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the distribution Sub-Division or Nodal Officer, OTS, MeECL Headquarter, Lumjingshai or they may also visit the website www.meecl.nic.in.
