MLA Sanbor Shullai laid foundation of project in Upper Lumparing

SHILLONG: MLA Sanbor Shullai on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a developmental scheme thereby fulfiling a 25-year-long aspiration of the people of the entire Upper Lumparing Area. Addressing the gathering, Shullai assured that the implementation of the project will be started without any delay.

He also lauded the efforts put by the officials of PWD (Public Works Department) and the support of Dorbar Shnong Upper Lumparing as well as the residents of the entire locality especially the land owners who have parted their land free of cost.

The speakers during the programme lauded the sustained effort and dedicated service of the MLA Shullai in 19th South Shillong Constituency.

SWCJ body formed: The Synjuk Waheh Chnong Jowai (SWCJ) — a conglomeration of traditional heads — has elected its new office bearers for the term 2021-2022. These include Alan Niangti (headman of Loompyrdi Iongpiah) as president; Lasoki D. Lakiang (headman, Ladthadlaboh) as vice president; Riquoma Rq Laloo (headman, Panaliar) as general secretary; Ryum T. Khonglah (secretary, Mynthong) as assistant general secretary; Dame H. Pde (headman, Chiliangraij) as treasurer; and Lamphrang Pohktai (headman, Mynthong), Titos Bamon (headman, Khim-u-sniang) as well as Jlan Kupar Rymbai (headman, Loompariat) as auditors.
