SHILLONG: Meghalaya leader of Opposition and Congress leader Mukul Sangma launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and the company called as SS Netcom, purportedly owned by him. The Congress leader alleged that they are involved in an international crime by running fake call centres. The stakeholders of the company are members of the same family – Conrad, James and his entire family, Sangma underlined.

Taking pot shots at the Chief Minister and his alleged family-owned company which came under the investigation of the State police, the Leader of the Opposition accused the ruling dispensation of tampering with the process of investigation by transferring the officers who are involved in the fake recruitment racket.

"The case related to SS Netcom against Conrad, James and their family members is for 'tampering' investigation forcing the police to submit incomplete chargesheet," stated Mukul Sangma, besides claiming that the cases registered against them have serious criminal ramifications.

The Leader of Opposition alluded to the recruitment case by SS Netcom in the collaboration with (IFA) owned by Irfan Faizal and Amit from Ahmedabad which run from the premises of SS Netcom.

Referring to the transfer of two officers of Laitumkhrah Police Station allegedly for handling the case, the Leader of the Opposition placed a letter in public domain by the SP, East Khasi Hills dated 24 January 2019 that stated, "The transfer and posting of Inspector M.N Khan and UD Sub-Inspector Pintu Das has created a fear psychosis among the officers of this district since the officers were handling the high-profile case and all are having a strong feeling that the transfer could be because of this reason."

The Leader of Opposition also lashed out at the government for not making any pursuits at the case that should have been unearthed.
