Naga forum thanks Government

Shillong, July 13: The Naga Elders’ Forum, Shillong (NEFS) has thanked the state government and the police for speedy arrest of persons responsible for the murder of a nurse. The NEFS has also expressed faith in the judiciary. In a statement issues here on Friday NEFS president Lhouvirielie Usou said that the law should take its course and befitting punishment should be awarded to the accused so as to deter others from committing such crimes in the future. It may be pointed out that Leiyaton Seraphina Soro, a nurse serving at Nazareth Hospital was murdered in May this year. The victim who hails from Manipur was murdered and her body was found dumped at Ryndang Briew near Umiam lake. Two persons were arrested in the case.
