NCC Day organized in Raj Bhavan, Shillong

SHILLONG: To Commemorate NCC Day, a felicitation ceremony was held in Raj Bhavan here on Saturday. The ceremony was graced by Governor of Meghalaya Satya Pal Malik.

The NCC Cadets of NE States have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID. To recognize their efforts, selected cadets and Associate NCC Officers were felicitated by the Governor. The ceremony started by an introductory speech by the ADG, NCC NER Maj. Gen. Ananta Bhuyan, who informed the audience about the NCC activities carried out by the cadets of the Directorate this year and the plans of expansion in the borders areas. He also thanked the State Government for their support to facilitate NCC activities in the State. The Governor presented certificates to the cadets & Associate NCC Officers and appreciated their efforts in nation building and various social activities, stated a release.
