NDRF organized an awareness programme on COVID-19 at Shillong Airport

SHILLONG: The NDRF sub-team of 1st Battalion NDRF Guwahati including paramedic staff organized an awareness programme on COVID-19 at Shillong Airport. The subjects which are covered during the awareness programme were symptoms and complications, prevention, the transmission of coronavirus and use of personal protective equipment, stated a press release.

Manish Kumar Agrawal, Director Shillong Airport, Shankarappa, DGM CNS, J Gangadharan, AGM (CNS) CSO, SM Meitei CASO/Assistant Commandant of ASG CISF, Airport Shillong, CISF personnel, airport staff, and other people attended the programme.

During the programme, NDRF rescuers and paramedic staff of 1st Battalion NDRF, Guwahati advised all to avoid close contact with people who are sick, not touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, to cover one's face while coughing/sneezing with a tissue, etc.
