SHILLONG: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Meghalaya on Monday organized a programme under the 'Clean India Programme' at Don Bosco Museum, Shillong. The Clean India drive was carried out as part of the nationwide cleanliness drive.

Virendra Khatri, Director (Finance), NYKS, New Delhi, Head Quarter, State NYKS Officers and around 105 volunteers participated in the programme. Under this programme, the target set for the collection of plastic waste was 17,720 kg for the State of Meghalaya for a single month. The numbers surpassed the target and remarkably 18,083 kg of plastic waste was collected from all over the State.

Khatri and Atul Nikam congratulated all the Deputy Directors, District Youth Officers, Accounts, Programme Assistants, NYKS and NSS Volunteers and all Youth club members/ leaders for carrying out the drive successfully. The participants, officers, employees, volunteers and others, took a pledge for Clean India by all the officers, employees, volunteers and other participants.
