Shillong: The Chairman of NESO Samuel Jyrwa bemoaned on how the likes of Sarbananda Sonowal and Himanta Biswa Sarma are silent or condones the central law that threatens the indigenous community of the North East.

Both were student and political leaders in their own rights, vowing to vanquish the illegal immigrants. The Sentinel sought the NESO Chairman views. He said, “ I am not giving any political statement except for their silence and support for the legislation that will have a deep impact on the region”.

“For the people of the North east, especially Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura, it is a draconian law set to be imposed”, stated the NESO Chairman while pondering on why the two stalwarts change their gaurds. The NESO supremo said that the likes of Sonowal and Sarma have failed to go back to what they reason on the issue against illegal immigrants. Fearing of the polity that has already emerged in certain patches of Assam, Jyrwa made it clear that the pending CAB will not deter the indigenous group from taking head on in the constitutional format that allow us.
